Question:
How much slop in the shank or flex once in the receiver, and does the aluminum ware as its softer than the steel version where the pins go?

Hey Rob,
I’d be wondering the same thing if I came across a ball mount made out of aluminum like the # BPH77MR while researching. Totally fair question. That said, I haven’t seen any noticeable difference in slop or wear compared to their steel counterparts.
What are you planning on towing?

It does wear slightly along the shank. After two years it has marks but nothing major to be concerned about. I have seen zero wear along the pin areas.
