Will etrailer Hard Tonneau Cover e65DR Fit A 2026 Nissan Frontier With Utility Track Rails?

Question:

I have a 2026 Frontier Crew cab with the short bed. Will this e65DR fit if I have utility track rails? If yes, will the unit mount to the utility track rails? And will i need different mounting hardware? what is the top finishof this unit? is it plastic or fiberglass? How does fiberglass hold up to strong sun and extreme temperatures? Thank you.

Hello Mike, thanks for reaching out. Yes the etrailer Hard Tonneau Cover # e65DR will indeed fit the 2026 Nissan Frontier with the utility track rails. The tonneau rails will install to the bed rails with the included hardware. No additional parts will be needed.

As far as the material, the panels on this cover are fiberglass on top, not plastic, and they’re built to take real use. Fiberglass holds up well to sun, heat, cold, rain, and snow without rusting or rotting, and it doesn’t get brittle the way cheap plastics can. You might see some light fading over time if it lives in direct sun year-round, but the textured matte finish helps hide that and it doesn’t affect strength or function. It handles temperature swings just fine, and with normal care it’s a very durable material for a hard tonneau. I do recommend cleaning it regularly and periodically applying a UV protectant. This will help a lot to prolong the life of the cover.

That said, please note the # e65DR cover is for models with the 6' bed. It will not fit models with the shorter 5' bed.

Will you be parking in full sun mostly? Or does the truck stay in a garage?

@Mike Oh ok no worries! Glad we are on the same page then. We do have covers for the 5' bed models too, just that one specific etrailer cover is only for the 6' bed.
