How Does WeatherTech Roll Up SunShade Kit - Front and Side Windows WT42UK Install
Updated 01/27/2026 | Published 01/20/2026 >
Question:
How does these attach to the windows? Are they easy to install? We just purchased a 2026 Class C Motorhome on the E-450 Chassis. The windshield does have a mounted rear view mirror.

Hey Michael, the WeatherTech Roll Up SunShade Kit - Front and Side Windows # WT42UK that you referenced is basically a friction fit in how it attaches to the windows. Basically they are light enough and stiff enough that you would just push them up into position and the friction and stiffness of them would allow them to be help in place. Its very easy and takes no time at all. Do you think you'd use the reflective side of the black side more?

The WeatherTech sun shade work well. The side window ones are easy to fit right inside the window well of the cab. The front windshield one is a bit cumbersome due to its size, but it gets the job done. It slides into place from the dash to the rearview mirror. We store ours under our mattress to keep them flat.

Michael, we have a 1996 Born Free on a Ford E350. We got both the windows and windshield panels. The windows have a fantastic fit. Be aware there are two different windshield panels one with and one without a slot for the rear view mirror. The fit of the windshield panel is just okay and not anything as impressive as the side windows. After using the windshield panel several times, it is okay, but we have never installed it and thought what a great fit. If we did not have the visors to pull down, we would probably use some type of blue painter's tape. That said, the quality of the panels are excellent in look and finish. Yes, I would purchase them again.

I bought sun shade set for my E450 motor home. Fits like a glove! Has rear view mirror cut out for my rear view mirror. This sunshade has two sides. Silver side to deflect sunlight and heat, dark side to absorb sunlight for warmth in cold weather. This set also comes with door windows covers. The windshield and door windows surroundings structure holds sunshades in place. Unit is very flexible. Definitely a 5 out of 5.

I would probably use the reflective side mostly. The windshield by the rear view mirror also has a mounting area for the advance breaking for the cruise I think.
