Can There be Gap on Tie Down Marine Slides for Boat Trailer Bunks TD99FR if Used on Longer Bunks

Published 01/12/2026

Question:

My trailer bunk is 114 inches. Would it be an issue to have that gap in the center of the bunk?

Hey Kerry, you'd be fine to have a small gap between the sets of the Tie Down Marine Slides for Boat Trailer Bunks # TD99FR that you referenced like you asked about. You probably don't have to go all the way forward on your 9.5 foot long bunks either so the gap could be minimized as well. That would depend on how much of your bunks your boat is contacting when on your trailer as well. Does your boats hull contact all of the bunk currently?

Yes, it is a 21 ft Skeeter. There are two shorter bunks that are 68 " each so they would need to be cut. Could you fill the gap with scrap?

@KerryN when you say scrap do you mean unused portions of the # TD99FR?
