2026 Ford F350 w/ 5th wheel prep package / Reese Goosebox 16k / 14k/lb- fifth wheel trailer Recommended safety chain length and clip opening needed that will attach to the safety chain puck of the BWGNXA2061.

Hey Scott, congrats on the new truck. To add safety chains to a Reese Goose Box like item # RP85FR, you'll need the 44" Reese Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks item # RP49151. These chains will attach to the safety chain loops of the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit item # BWGNXA2061.

This chain kit is specific to the Reese Goose Box so it will attach with the included hardware with no drilling required.

Hey Scott, how did the 44-inch Reese safety chains work with your Goose Box and the B&W safety chain kit on your F-350? It’d be great to know if the length and hook size fit your setup as expected. Your update could make it easier for others pairing the same components.

@Scott They're no longer available due to Draw-Tite's parent company filing for bankruptcy. The BulletProof Hitches 1/2" Safety Chains with Clevis Hooks item # BPH26RR is going to be the closest comparable option.
