Recommended Wireless Observation Cameras and Monitor for a Motorhome

Updated 01/05/2026 | Published 12/28/2025

Question:

We have a motorhome, Jayco Precept 33U 2018 - Jayco. I have factory cameras , rear, and 1 on each side in the rear view mirrors. The side camera can only be viewed, when the blinker is on. The images are grainy. Id like to have better images, and a dash display. Can you suggest a system you sell? Also Id like to know about install.

Hey Scott, thanks for the information! I don't have anything that's going to connect to the rear view mirrors but I do have a system with side view cameras. It's the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Observation System w/ 3 Cameras - 7" Screen item # FR64AD.

The Furrion item # FR64AD comes with a 7" display monitor that allows you to see each camera individually or at the same time. It has a rear camera with a built in microphone and two side view cameras that have night vision functions.

You'll be able to swap our your current rear camera and install the Furrion one with no issues. The side view cameras will need to be wired into tail light or running light circuits depending on where you place them. The wireless monitor comes with a USB and cigarette light power cord.

Jerred, Thank you very much. This does look like a very good option. I wish it came with storage like a dash cam. Take care,

@ScottW You're welcome! The monitor included with the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Observation System w/ 3 Cameras - 7" Screen item # FR64AD does have the ability to record and store video from all of the cameras. You'll just need to pick up a micro-SD card. It'll support up to 128GB. We also have the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Observation System w/ 4 Cameras item # FR74AD. It's the same system but it includes an observation camera you can put anywhere.

@JerredH Thanks Jerred, I read that it has storage, but as I understood, it was just for security when stopped. Not able to record while your driving. Am I wrong? Thanks,

@Scottw You're welcome! I just gave Lippert a call to confirm. You can indeed record video while you're driving with the Furrion Vision S+ item # FR64AD and item # FR74AD. A 128GB micro-SD card is recommended and an icon will be on the screen to start recording. When the memory card fills up it does delete the oldest video files.
