Will the Threaded Hitch Pin w/ the Thule Camber Bike Rack for 4 Bikes Fit the Wider Toyota 2" Hitch?

Question:

Do I need a hitch pin longer than the standard 12X40mm pin for a 2026 Toyota 4Runner hitch receiver? I installed the Thule Camber 4 bike rack with the standard pin and there was a lot of play.

Hey Tony. Your Thule Camber Bike Rack for 4 Bikes item # TH9056 should've come with the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device item # THSTL2. It includes the 4-1/2" long item # TH62RE pin, which is the longest threaded hitch pin that Thule has available right now.

I wish I had a longer pin that matched the thread pattern on the Thule Camber Bike Rack item # TH9056, and fits that wider receiver on your 2026 Toyota 4Runner more snuggly. However, there are no other options as of 12/14/2025.

Thanks for your response. I don’t believe the bike rack I purchased from a bike store came with the 4-1/2” pin you show but even if it did, it appears the length of the threaded portion of the pin is no greater than the pin I have. I’m not sure the 4-1/2” would work any better.

@Tony You're welcome. Yeah, I agree it probably wouldn't change anything. We were hoping that wider Toyota receiver would go away because the bike rack manufacturer's aren't making longer threaded hitch pins to accommodate them. I do not have any options that are longer that match Thule's threads.
