Question:

Is this hitch pin the standard size that comes with bike rack or is it longer. I need a longer hitch pin to use with my new 24 Tacoma SR5. 1 inch longer should do the trick? Have anything longer than the standard?

Hey Michael,

The Threaded Hitch Pin for Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock # TH62RE is 4-1/2" long overall, with the threaded portion being 1-3/8" and the rest being 3-1/8". It is longer than most, which are often 3-1/2" or so, and I know Toyota users have had success with it in the past. That said, it's important to note that this is a replacement part for the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 and is threaded for Thule racks.

If you have a different brand bike rack with a threaded hitch pin you would have to get that brand because they are threaded specifically for that brand. So there isn't a threaded hitch pin I can offer unless you have a Thule rack; but if you were just needing a standard hitch lock, one for a 2-1/2" hitch will work like the Master Lock # 1469DAT.
