Recommended Suspension Support to Address Sway on a 2020 Leisure Travel Wonder Motorhome

Updated 12/08/2025 | Published 12/05/2025

Question:

I am considering the Timbren suspension on my RV - the chassis is a 2020 Ford Transit 350HD Cutaway. My question is should I put a set on both the front axle and the rear axle or can I just put a set on the rear axle, where most of the left/right sway seems to occur?

Hey Anker. I recommend starting with the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System item # TFRTR350HD and seeing how that addresses the sway you're feeling on your 2020 Leisure Travel Wonder Motorhome. If you had a top overhang I would say tackle the front and the rear end at the same time. The Timbrens are going to prop up any squatting you're encountering and help with any top heavy feeling you're getting when you make turns.

We don't have a set of Timbrens for the front end of your 2020 Ford Transit 350HD Cutaway. The only option we do have is the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension item # CSS-1195F. These are going to install inside your front coil springs and limit the amount of travel the suspension has.

Do you have anything mounted on the front of your motorhome? A bike rack or any additional weight?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks. Nothing on the front of the RV. The only change to the weight distribution from stock is that I replacedtwo lead acid batteries with Lithiums, about a 60 lb. reduction, which are located at the very rear of the vehicle. I'll start with the Timbrens on the back axle and then see is that solves the main problem.
