Which Wire is 12V Power on Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit with Charger

Question:
Hi I’m looking to install this on my clamshell snowmobile trailer. This trailer does not have brakes. I am trying to use it to run a little LED light strip on the inside of the trailer. I’m pretty sure that the battery will be sufficient enough to run the lights correct me if I’m wrong here and there when we’re loading and unloading and just need the extra light. I will be converting it to a 7pin harness with a junction box to be able to use the truck to keep the battery charged up. My question is, is the blue wire coming out of the battery box a 12v hot wire? So I could use that to go into the junction box or connect to the power wire on the lights and have that be the power supply? It makes sense in my head but I think a little guidance would help me out. And if I’m wrong and there’s another way that I can accomplish my goal any help is appreciated! Thanks

Hi Noah; the blue wire on the # 3802346 is actually for the switch. The red wire is the 12V power marked (+) Truck Battery on the wiring diagram below. As long as you don't have some kind of large power draw or use the light for a long period of time that should be fine.
The battery has a 5 Ah capacity which isn't a lot but will be enough for a small LED strip. I would find out the details of the LED light and how much power it draws so you know just how long you can run it on the battery. You don't want to run the battery all the way down so that will help you know the limitations.
Where do you usually go snowmobiling?

Okay thank you! I was thinking the blue wire was 12v and when hooked up to the switch its what powered the breakaway breaker when the pin was pulled. I can also just hook lights into the junction box too so it’ll all work out. I appreciate it! And we ride in northern NH and ME!
