Hey Keiron. The best weight distribution system for your Airstream trailer is going to be the Equal-i-zer item # EQ37060ET. This system works with tongue weights between 200 lbs - 600 lbs. So long as you're within this range you won't have any problem being under or over it comfort and performance wise. This is going to take out any squatting you have in the rear end by transferring weight to your Kia's front axle.

The Equal-i-zer item # EQ37060ET has built in sway control that will keep your trailer in line with your Kia when you're going down the highway and make a sudden lane change or get passed by a semi. It's really helpful when you get sideswiped by a gust of wind too. This system includes a 2" shank and a 2-5/16" hitch ball.

Please note you will need room on your trailer's coupler between 27" - 32" back from where the hitch ball mounts. This is for the sway control brackets.

Are you having issues with your rear end squatting when you tow your trailer?

thanks Jerred!....I read that the Equal-i-zer is a pretty heavy appliance I'm trying to keep my setup as light weight as possible are there other good options?

@KeironD You're welcome! The weight of the Equal-i-zer item # EQ37060ET does not get added to the tongue weight or the trailer weight. If you step down to a lighter system like the Andersen item # AN88VR, it's not going to work as well. Are you having issues with your rear end squatting when you tow your trailer?
