Hello Joseph, thanks for reaching out. Our etrailer Base Plates like the # e98952 are actually made by Demco. It should absolutely be compatible with the clevis ends on your Demco tow bar. Any chance you could email me a picture of the tabs on your tow bar? My email is [email protected]. Looking at it should really help narrow down why they aren't fitting together.
My suspicion is you may need to replace the tab ends on your tow bar. If what you have is the older 9511006 Excali-Bar Tow Bar, you will need the following:
- Replacement Clevis for First Generation Demco Excali-Bar Tow Bar # DM89CV
Feel free to send me those pictures and I can take a look. Or if you have a different model Excali-Bar just let me know.
