Question:

My 2021 Grand Design Reflection 311BHS has a Lippert 1716 pin box, and my new F-350 only has a factory gooseneck ball setup. What’s the right way to connect the two?

Matt - you’re in good shape. Your 1716 pin box can be replaced directly with the MORryde GooseTech # MR39MV, which bolts to the same mounts and hooks straight to your gooseneck ball. It’s a real upgrade - the rubber shear-spring inside absorbs the fore-and-aft “chucking,” and you can finally ditch that heavy 5th-wheel hitch for a wide-open bed. Since you’re switching to a gooseneck connection, add safety chains # GY49GR to stay compliant and secure.

I know you said it's the 1716, but I do recommend checking the sticker/label or checking out the attached article that explains how to verify which one you have, because I did some research and yours may have come with a Lippert 1621 instead! In that case, you'd want the # MR97MV instead.
