Hey Aaron, welcome back! Since your 2017 Ford F-250 has 5th wheel rails installed you've got a wide range of options. The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # DM8550035 you were looking at would definitely work. This is the Cadillac of sliding hitches. It has a 21,000 lbs capacity, will give you 14" of travel for making tight turns, and it slides on its own. You don't have to get out of your truck to engage the slider.

If you want a standard sliding 5th wheel hitch without the autoslide function, I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3270. This hitch will also attach to your above bed rails. It has a 18,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns. You will need to get out and adjust a lever to enable the slider function.

Both the item # BWRVK3270 and item # DM8550035 5th wheel hitches do not include the rail kit you already own. These part numbers are just the hitches.

What kind of 5th wheel trailer do you have?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier, I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C57008. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.

@Aaron Yes, it will. The PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch for Short Bed Trucks item # PUL63RR also attaches to above bed 5th wheel rails. It has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 14" of travel.
