Are they thicker than the Curt brand? I want some very strong to tie down a farm tractor.

Hello Jerry, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the CE Smith Weld-On Stake Pockets # CES55WR are a bit thicker than the Curt # C83072. I went out to our warehouse and measured both.
The Ce Smith # CES55WR is 0.22" thick.
The Curt # C83072 is 0.18" thick.
They will both work with a standard 2"x4" stake.
