David, great question - the Force dolly # PA96VR has a built-in 7-way Smart Brake connector that automatically controls your trailer’s brakes. When you plug in the trailer’s 7-way, it releases the brakes while you’re moving and re-engages them when the dolly stops or is powered off. That means you don’t need to modify your trailer wiring at all.
Is your trailer using standard electric brakes? What type of trailer do you have?
