Replacement Stereo Recommendation for a Genesis GT-3.0
Updated 10/14/2025 | Published 10/09/2025 >
Question:
Would this be compatible for, and replace, the Genesis DVD player / home theater GT-3.0 in a Forest River RV? It looks as though the face plate is pretty big. Something like 12” or 13”, by maybe about 8” or 9”.

Hey Adam, thanks for reaching out!
The Jensen Mechless RV Stereo # JEN25RR can definitely be used in place of your Genesis GT-3.0, but I will say it looks to be a bit smaller so you'll likely need to come up with some trim pieces to take up any extra space in that cavity. For reference, the cutout requirement for this smaller unit is 7-1/16" wide x 3-1/2" tall x 5-1/4" long.
We also have the Jensen RV Stereo w/ DVD Player # JWM60A which might be more up your alley since it retains that DVD player feature and it fits a larger cutout at 9" wide x 6" tall x 5-1/2" long so you won't have as dramatic of a difference in size.
Both options are great though so it really just depends on what style and size you're wanting to upgrade to.

Hey Jon, Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the JWM60A has a HDMI input on it, which is why I was looking at possibly replacing it. I would definitely have preferred the larger face plate though. Thanks! Adam S
