Rearview Camera Replacement Monitor for Rear View Mirror Location
Updated 10/31/2025 | Published 10/07/2025 >
Question:
Currently my RV cameras display on my Garmin - I want to move them to a separate monitor in the rear view mirror location. Is there a camera cable extension that I can order to connect to the current location and extend them around the dash, up the windshield and over to the center top of the windshield? The current camera cables terminate into an adaptor that has power, ground and a vga connector that goes to the garmin.

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out!
I really like the Rear View Safety Universal Mirror Monitor # RVS-619N since it installs in the rearview mirror location and gives you a full 7" color screen. This comes with standard camera connectors, but I'm also adding a photo from the instructions to show what the wiring configuration is if your connector doesn't match and you need to hardwire things.
Please note that this is only a good option if you don't have a standard rearview mirror as this is just a screen and doesn't have glass. Do you have a usable rearview mirror in your motorhome, or is it just a monitor?
