HOW DO I REMOVE THE COIN HOLDER TO GET TO THE PLUG

The coin tray on the dash of your 2017 Ford E-450 can be simply pried out with a slot screwdriver. You can gently insert the screwdriver between the tray and the dash piece that surrounds it. You will then pry the tray out. Just be sure to apply gentle pressure all around the edge of the tray until it is released as opposed to forcing it out.

@GaryM Hey Gary, if your 2026 E450 is equipped with that factory tow package, the brake controller plug is indeed still in that same location behind the storage compartment/tray above the radio in the center dash.

@ChrisR Elsewhere on your site the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 was recommended but I can't find it in your catalog. Still available?

@GaryM The Tekonsha Prodigy is currently not in production since Tekonsha's parent company is out of business. We're hopeful that it will be back soon, but there's not an update yet. My recommended alternative brake controller is the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. That's a splice-in wiring harness for your 2026 Ford E-450 and if you don't already have a 7-way harness, you'll need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 to be able to connect the controller to a trailer with brakes.
