Question:
Would this work to charge two 100AH batteries in rv trailer via the 7 way plug on ford f150
asked by: Jeffrey
Expert Reply:
Hi Jeffrey; the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Trailer Battery Charger # RED36TR can be used to charge your two 100Ah batteries. However, the output is a bit low, with this being designed for battery banks less than 75Ah. It will still work, but it will be slower than you might want.
That lower output does mean you can use the 7-way on your vehicle so you may still want to go this route. If you choose a higher output charger like # 331-BCDC1225D you would need to run additional wiring/connectors and add the fuse kit # 331-FK40.
