Question:
THe product photos and video do not show how the trailer wires fasten to this connector. screw down? crimp? solder in? Is there some water proofing?

Hi David; the TowSmart ProClass 7-Blade Trailer Connector w/ Wire Tester # TS86RR uses screw terminals inside the connector to secure the wires. It has a gasket where the wires enter the connector to help keep out water and debris.

Here are the additional pictures of the # TS86RR. You remove a set screw on the end to get to the screw terminals. Those wires stay in place to run to the test lights. I didn't have a good wire to put in the end but I cranked down the screw to show how it tightens up around the cord.

Thanks Robin for the answer about the screw terminals. However, I had already seen the photo included in your reply, and it is not particulary helpful in showing how the cable connection is made. Can you make a new photo showing how the access is opened and the wires attached and how the gasket fits/seals?
