Hey Christian. The Bauer NE RV Entry Door Lock for Trailers item # BA53UR uses Bluetooth so you're going to need to be reasonably close by for it to work. It uses Bluetooth 5.4 which has a range of up to 800 feet with direct line of sight. That range will decrease with the more things you have in the way.
