Can I Leave the Entire B&W Continuum System Connected to the Trailer?

Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 09/24/2025

Question:

Does the complete hitch stay with the RV? Will it just pull out of the truck hitch ?

Hey Bob. You can leave the B&W Continuum item # BW44BR connected to the trailer but it's better to leave the shank portion on the truck/tow vehicle.

What kind of trailer do you have and what tow vehicle are you using?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

We have a 2022, 221RBS Bullet. We are pulling with a 2021 Chevy 2500HD.

@Bob Seeing as how you've got a taller truck you may want the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control and Extra Drop item # BW84BR for a 2" hitch receiver or item # BW37BR for a 2-1/2" hitch receiver. The shanks are 3" bigger so you've got the option for more drop.

Thank you for the information. Based on concerned reviews on YouTube we have decided to pass on this unit. Once they get the hydraulic pressure to maintain it’s desired setting and not lose pressure we may look at this in the future.

@Robert You're welcome! Are you interested in another weight distribution system? What caused you to look at the B&W Continuum?
