Will etrailer Spare Tire Mount # e98ZR Work For 315/70R17 Ford Bronco Tires?

Question:
I have a 35inch 315/70R17 spare tire on my Bronco that I am thinking to mount on the rear hitch of my Hiker Trailer. Can you advise if this mount can handle that size tire. Wheel and tire is about 100lbs combined. Bolt pattern is 6x5.5 inches. If not, can you advise on what spare tire mount could handle this?

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Spare Tire Mount # e98ZR does not have a specific weight capacity, but it has been known to work with larger tires and wheels. Basically as long as the wheel fits on the carrier, it will be fine to use. It works with the 6-lug pattern meaning it will work with your Bronco tires regardless of size or weight.
