Today, we're going to just take a look at the Plastic Stem and the Rubber Socket Door Holder. These parts will hold your trailer doors open with ease by mounting one part to the door, the other to the side of your trailer. Then when you push it into there, that would actually go in further and would hold securely your doors open. When it does go in there, it'll create a 1 3/8" gap between the trailer and the door when it's in use.Now, there is a metal part right at the bottom of the socket that has threads in it. That is zinc plated to help resist rust and corrosion. This part actually could also be used on windows if you'd like.
A few specs on this, I want to give you the measurements on the hard plastic stem is 1" and on the rubber socket is 1 3/8". Now, the mounting hardware to install this is not included. But that should do it for the review on the Plastic Stem and the Rubber Socket Door Holder.

This is an exact replacement for what I have on my horse trailer. The rubber socket has the metal base that the mounting bolt screws through. I have seen others that only have rubber at the base that certainly won't be as strong.
First of all, etrailer Customer Service is the best I have ever encountered, and I'm an old broad! I'm not going into fixed income, no local suppliers, I'm just going to tell it like it is. Still very good product. Wind caught the tailgate door, threw me into the trailer, then part of the door stop broke when the door slammed against the other portion on the door frame. Otherwise, works great, if the wind stops...
Finding what I needed was simple ordering the parts was even easier and shipment was fast and I received my product in prompt time. I believe etrailer is the place to go.
Fit perfectly and works very well!
Purchesed these as a method of mounting a hood shaker to a 79 LS swapped trans am. I needed a way to quickly remove the shaker without having to undo any bolts. I made the ID of the sockets slightly larger making it easier to remove and it works perfectly.
Love them fit perfectly. On a 2002 fleetwood elkhorn.
The door, or in my case window holder socket works as expected. The deliver was amazingly fast.
We use the rubber socket retainer and plastic stem on a few different locations within our fleet.
