Question:

Looking for options to mount full size 2022 Honda Ridgeline spare tire with tonneau cover in place. Will be towing 3500 pound travel trailer without bumper. Hope not to have spare in truck bed due to loss of cargo space. Any options for mounting to trailer on frame between coupler and trailer. Have one group 27 battery, two 20 lb propane tanks, and electric jack in that area. Thanks,

I do have an option for you to mount a spare tire on the tongue of the trailer using a combo of the Swagman Straddler Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers part # S80503 and etrailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier part # e98ZR. You'll need a few inches of space on the frame for the rack carrier brackets but that should be about the only issue you'll run into with this option.

I do have another option for you if the above does not work, this entails carrying the tire on the underside of the trailer with a mount like the Lippert RV Spare Tire Carrier part # LC159041.
