Fogatti Amp Rating Compared to Dometic 35,000 Btu Furnace

Question:

I just bought a really nice used Arctic Fox 19B trailer. I want to replace the Suburban furnace with something that is much quieter AND draws less amps. I see that Fogatti makes a really quiet one 40 decibels in sleep mode, but it supposedly draws 10 amps. Atwood or Dometic has one that only draws 2.6 amps and is supposefly quiet.

What model Dometic furnace are you looking at? The Fogatti Quiet LP Gas RV Furnace # FG45FR is rated for 35,000 Btu and when I looked at a similar model from Dometic, it was rated for 11 amps, so I'd be interested to see if the model you're talking about when you compared them together.

What's going on with your Suburban furnace?

I am considering the Dometic DFSAD 12111 which supposedly is very low amp and very quiet.

@TerryB That furnace is only rated for 12,000 Btu so something more comparable would be the Dometic RV Furnace # DMC76RR that's rated for 20,000 Btu (almost twice as much) and has an Amp rating of 4.2.
