Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 09/03/2025

Question:

does the Timbren front touch the axel spring pad at all times such as when parked. installed on a 2014 holiday rambler on a ford f53 chassis. if not could a spacer be installed so it would be in contact at all times.

Hi Steve; the Timbren SES like # TFFF53B typically has a small gap so it is not engaged all the time. However, on some heavy motorhomes they end up in constant contact anyway. This is somewhat dependent on your suspension as well, if it is a little worn out they will likely be engaged all the time. What I would do is go ahead and install it and see how it turns out since you already ordered it. You could always add a spacer later if you think it is necessary.

Hi Steve, did you have a chance to install the Timbren SES on your motorhome? I'm curious to know if it ended up in constant contact or if you decided to add a spacer. Your experience could really help others with similar setups.
