Can Trailer Wheel and Tire Size 4.80-8 be Replaced with 5.30-12

I just purchased a new to meinch used 14foot jon joat and trailer. The trailer has 4.80-8 tires that are cracked and untrustworthy. I am wanting to travel a couple of hours away with the boat and trailer. There is quite a bit of space all around the 4 lug tires currently so I think I can go bigger in size. Would it possibly be feasible to go up to a 5.30-12 tire size due to highway traveling??

Yes you can go to the larger wheel and tire size of 5.30-12 that you asked about. For a 4 lug wheel version we have the part # AM30780 which would work great. This has a higher speed rating of 81 mph.
