What Would Cause Hitch to be Scratched Before Delivery

Question:
This is my 3rd draperies hitch. This one has an area that looks like a grinder hit part of the hitch and took the powder coating off. I painted it and it should be ok but I live in a salty area and hope it wont rust in our winter salt.

Hey Alken, sorry to hear that the Draw Tite hitch part # 76226 was scratched up. Sometimes they get scratched in shipping since they don't always get packed the best. You did the best thing you can do by spray painting it. If It does come off and starts to rust there are spray paints that are designed to be sprayed over rusty metal like the Rustoleum Rust Reformer you might try.
