Recommended Brake Assemblies for a 10" diameter x 2-1/4" Wide Drum

Question:
I have a utility trailer that I need to replace the brakes on. It is a twin axle trailer with brakes on the rear axle. The axle has a number of GS35950800550WAX-4329-BD and the current brakes are 10” x2 1/4”. The bolt pattern is 5 on 5. I believe the brake kit AKEBRK-35-SA appears to be a direct fit but would like to make sure. Can you tell me if this is the correct brake kit for my trailer or do you need more information?

Hey Doug, thanks for the information. I searched that part number and wasn't able to find any information on it.
The etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes item # AKEBRK-35-SA do fit a 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide drum and have a 3,500 lbs capacity. What you'll want to check is the bolt pattern on the brake mounting flange that's welded to your axle. It should have a 4 bolt pattern and if it does the item # AKEBRK-35-SA are going to be what you need.

Hey Doug, did you get a chance to check the bolt pattern on your trailer's brake mounting flange? I'm eager to know if the brake kit worked for you, as it could help others with similar trailers.
