Question:

Hi - Im looking to get a 2023 Chevy Trailblazer set up to tow behind our RV. I see you have listed all that would be needed to set it up, but who do you contact to do the work? Is this something that your average Joe can accomplish - or maybe it would be better to have it done by a professional? I've tried googling companies that could do this, but have not found any. Would you be able to suggest something? Thank you.

If you're willing to make the trip out to our facility in Wentzville, MO then we could install your flat towing components for you. We also have an installer locator, which I've attached below, that you can use to find the nearest installer to your area code. Just to make sure you have everything you'll need to flat tow your Trailblazer I have to following recommendations:

Baseplate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM35FR.

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR along with baseplate pins # RM-910029. This tow bar includes safety cables and has them bracketed to the arms so that they won't drag on the ground. The head and shank offer a bit of adjustability to help stay level between the motorhome and Trailblazer.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RM26FR.

Since the battery needs to be disconnected to tow I also recommend picking up the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 to make connecting/disconnecting the battery as simple as pressing a button.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This portable system includes a remote that will display when the brakes are being applied in your Trailblazer and allow you to adjust your brake settings from the cab of the motorhome. This will also come with a charge line kit to keep the Trailblazer's battery charged while you tow.
