Replacement LED Tail Lights and Clearance Lights for Truck Bed Camper

I have a 199 Passtime Truck Bed Camper.....I want to upgrade my tail lights and marker clearence lights with LED. My current taillights are the double type with reverse lights as well, I am not concerned with having reverse lights since I have additional reverse lights on the bumper. My question is what do you recomend for replacement and is it simple remove and connect type install? Thanks for the help.

We do have LED replacement double tail lights for your camper. I have linked you to those available. The best way to find replacement lights is by finding the manufacturer's name and the part number of the current lights. Most manufacturers stamp part numbers on the base of the light assemblies. Look at the base of both lights and look for a part number.

If you cannot determine the part number, you can send me a photo of the lights and the dimensions of the lights (height x width x depth) and with that information I should be able to find a light that will work.

Without knowing the exact lights we cannot say if it is a plug-in type installation or a hardwire installation.

We do have LED replacement clearance lights. I have linked to those available. You will want to choose the size of the lights you want to replace, the shape, the mount you want and the color.

I also have a slide in truck camper. I think I have one bad light or at least I can’t trouble shoot the reason why the turn, brakes don’t work. Wiring inside the camper is close to impossible to get to so my next step is to replace the light. There are Bargman double lights with a backup light on now. These are flush mount, not recessed. I see Bargman doesn’t make this style as a flush mount anymore. I really don’t want to cut a larger hole for the recessed. Do you have a recommended replacement?

As far as a replacement tail light kit goes I have attached a link of our selection for you to check out. I recommend going with one that matches best to your current set. Prior to replacing the lights I recommend taking a look at any fuses related to trailer wiring. There should be a fuse for the left turn/stop and the right turn/stop. You'll need to use your owner's manual to help you find out where these fuses are located.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
