Hello I am looking for an electric brake controller / 7pole and 4pole socket conector and the right wiring harness for my Chevrolet 1971 C20 Pick Up. I would be happy if you could recommend something. Thank you Regard’s Patrick

Hi Patrick; to add a brake controller to your 1971 Chevy C20 you need to install a 4-way, then a 7-way, and then the brake controller itself. I recommend the following:
-Curt 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector w/ 60" Harness and Wire Taps # C58044
-Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7
-Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90885
The Curt wiring harness is just your basic 4-way. The # ETBC7 comes with an adapter along with the additional wiring and breakers necessary to upgrade it to a 7-way. The Prodigy P2 is a reliable proportional brake controller with all of the features you might want or need.
