Is the RodVault waterproof inside?

The Thule RodVault 2-pole carrier # TH34FR23YR and 4-pole carrier # TH34FR55YR are highly water-resistant but not 100% waterproof. The tubes are sealed aluminum and drain out the back, and the reel box is weather-shielded with foam padding inside.
Your rods and reels will stay dry in rain, but I wouldn't recommend power-washing it while rods are inside, or leaving soaked gear locked inside. If you're saltwater fishing, always rinse your gear before storing it. Also side note, don't run it through a car wash ever! We've had people do this..
