The Erickson Control Cargo Bar # 08908 when fully collapsed comes in at 44". With the ability to extend up to 74".

Thanks for the reply Nick. I asked the question about the #08908 cargo bar because I want to buy a carrying case for whichever cargo bar that I get for when I'm not using it in my truck and I want to buy a case that will be as close to the cargo bar length when it is collapsed as I can get without being longer than it really needs to be and have a bunch of excess case flopping around with the bar inside. Yes, I know it sounds anal retentive and a bit of an overkill maybe to buy a case for something like this and I hear this all the time from my wife but that's the way I roll. Any way long story short beings I didn't hear back before now on the dimension of the bar I opted to buy the Pro Grip Twist'n Lock cargo bar and bought a 43" soft nylon carrying case for it and the combo is of the case and cargo bar are working great. And I'm happy with the cargo bar that I got. And, again thank you all for the quick shipment of my cargo bar. I ordered it on Wednesday and got it yesterday (Thursday). By the way I'm putting the cargo bar in my Tacoma Sport. Hope ya have a great weekend and thanks again for the great customer service. Ken
