Question:
Hi, My question is similar to this except i already have a transfer switch installed since the 5th wheel came prepped for a gen. I was thinking of using the existing vent hole for the 50 amp twist lock inlet. I switched to LiFEpo batteries and no long need venting. So would I just source out the appropriate romex and remove the wiring from the gen side of the transfer switch? I am going to need to replace the transfer switch which failed a while back and just bypassed it completely. Whats the difference between the different brands, like Progressive Dyn vs furion etc? Thanks for your imput

Hey Rob, the big differences between the two transfer switch is that the Go Power part # 34270278 is made in the USA and has a metal case whereas the Furrion part # F50ATS is not made in the US and has a plastic case. This is why it costs less.
Generally speaking the LiFEPo batteries do not require venting but you still want to check with the battery manufacturer to be certain.
