Question:

I have a lippert rhino pin box. There are two options for gen Y. 6.5k and 4.5k. my GVWR is 17,695. This makes the calculated pin weight at 22 to be 3,900. The 4.5k is under and the 6.5k is way over on the chart. Which one do I choose?

Hey Blake, welcome back! Gen-Y has improved their pin boxes so they cover a wider range now. It looks like we need to update that chart since that also means fitment is based on GVWR alone. The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert Rhino - 30,000 lbs - 6.5K TW # GY76PR is the correct replacement pin box. This is designed to work with a GVWR range of 16,365-25,450 lbs.

Yes we've used it a couple times on some short weekend trips. Headed West in about four weeks for a 9 day trip. Got this setup new last year at end of season so we've been enjoying the new rig! Brinkley Z 3610
