How To Wire In The Furrion Replacement Front Panel

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/10/2025

Question:

Im replacing my prior front panel with this FR83RV unit but it didnt ship with instructions and the wire color coding doesnt match. There is an extra switch position on the front toggle switch and an extra wire that runs to all of the knobs that the old one didnt have. I have red/black/white on the new unit knobs while on the old unit it was simply black and white wires and the switch has red/blue/white whereas the old unit had only black and white wires there. Additionally hoping an instruction manual would assist with how to install the new temperature probe into the oven.

Hey Ted,

Unfortunately there is not a digital wiring diagram out there. I reached out to the manufacturer as well and they could not provide me with any specific wiring diagram or install instructions for just the front panel specifically.

With that said, the panel comes with 3 small gauge wires (black, red, white) and 4 larger gauge wires (red, blue, and 2 blacks). The large gauge wires run to a switch in the front of the panel with 3 terminals. I have attached a rough diagram that that shows the setup. With your original not having colored wires, if you are able to find a manual to figure out what goes to what that is going to help. Otherwise you would need to test for function. Since we do not have much information from the manufacturer on install, if you are having any issues I would recommend reaching out to a service tech or electrician who has experience installing this.

Hey Ted, How did things go with installing the new front panel module for your oven? I’d love to know if you were able to get it all set up or if you needed to call in a service tech for some extra help. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
