Question:
Hi, I have a calkins trailer that needs new leaf springs and u bolts, and pre packed hubs. I have photos of the spindles for reference to hopefully match the hubs. The leaf springs are 26” from center of bushing to center of bushing.

Hey Nicholas. In order to get you a set of replacement hubs I'll need to know the part numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings on yours and your lug nut pattern. The only way a picture of your spindle is going to help me is if you have measurements of points C and D on the diagram below taken with a digital caliper like item # PTW80157. I have linked an faq article below to help you identify your lug nut pattern.
As far as leaf springs go. How did you come up with the 26" measurement? Leaf springs tend to stretch out over years of usage so we recommend lifting one side of the trailer up and getting the weight off of the suspension then measuring from the center to the center of the mounting holes or bushings. What is your axle's capacity and how many leafs do your current springs have?
What is the diameter or thickness of your axle if it's square? I'll need to know this information to recommend the correct u-bolts.
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
