Updated 07/10/2025 | Published 07/02/2025

Question:

I pull my bronco from the factory D ring mounts on the bumper with a blue ox. I would like to switch to a demco unit can I bolt the blue ox D ring mount to the demco arms asit would be on one side of arm ?

Maybe! It depends on what year bronco you have, what bumper is on your Bronco, and what model tow bar you're using.

Are you using Off-Road Bumper Adapters like item # BX88357?

Jerred: looking at the blue ox adapter the end thats bolts to the tow bar arm is flat so it can slide into the forked end of a blue ox tow arm. I would think in order to bolt to a demco arm the adapter would need a forked end as you would need to slide demco arm into it. I am using a blue ox bar with the adpaters. I want to go with a demco bar but I don’t think the adpaters will work.

@TomW Thanks for the information! You are correct. The Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bars like item # DM9511008-BX will not work with the Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters item # BX88357. Unless you want to swap out those tow hooks in your modular bumper for the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU23XR, I recommend sticking with your current set up.
