Replacement AC for Coleman Mach 7000 on 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38U

Updated 07/03/2025 | Published 06/28/2025

Question:

I have a 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38U motorhome with two rooftop ac units by Coleman mach 7000. Both units are controlled by a wall mount thermostat. What will be a direct replacement ac unit? Im wanting to just go ahead and replace both. Will I need a new thermostat because I dont think the original one works to well.

Hey Keith! I just got your questions so I'll address everything on this one. All of the replacement AC units have switched to the new R32 refrigerant so a complete replacement is necessary. This will include a wall thermostat so you don't have to worry about compatibility or if the existing one even works.

The GE AC you were looking at will work as a replacement for the Coleman. The correct system will depend on whether you have a ducted or ductless setup, the color, and if you want the heat pump. You can choose from the following:

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - White # GE94RR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 15,000 Btu - White # GE85ZR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - Black # GE34RR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 15,000 Btu - Black # GE75ZR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System - Ducted - 15,000 Btu - Black # GE35ZR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System - Ducted - 15,000 Btu - White # GE95ZR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - White # GE82ZR

-GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - Black # GE72ZR
