Can The Coleman Air Conditioner Be Replaced With An Advent Air Conditioner?

Yes, the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 will fit into the same cutout as your current Coleman air conditioner, however in order to be able to use the Advent Air Conditioner # ACM150, you will also need the Coleman Mach Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACCOLKIT.

This adapter will allow your Advent Air AC to work with your existing Coleman ceiling vent and thermostat.

Have a coleman 15k, is a ducted system. All works fine. Coleman has a freon leak. Want to replace with a advent acm150 rooftop unit only. 1.Do i use the coleman control box to communicate with the indoor unit and stat. 2. I know that I need the adaptor kit. 3. Or does the advent control board communicate with the coleman indoor unit and stat. Thank you for your assistance

@John At one point we thought the adapter solutions worked pretty well but recently we found that it's too inconsistent for us to recommend. If you want to replace just the top part of your system you'd need to go with another Coleman.
