Hey Trevor, this is a great question but basically the # GE65ZR is the high efficiency version that draws less power than the Deluxe model part # GE52ZR. The amperage difference is 15 amp vs 20 amp.

You are incorrect about the amp draw requirements, they both according to the respective owners' manuals only require 12-gauge wire with 15- or 20-amp breakers, what would be nice at the very least is a starting and running amp draw on all a/c and heat pumps and also seer ratings, its required for house units, why not rv's. This makes it very hard for everyone to make informative and wise decisions. I am currently in contact with GE with these Questions, which at this point have no answers, this situation seems to be a problem with all the manufactures.

@Gerry The circuit breaker requirements will indicative of amperage draw do not always dictate it. When we checked with GE they told us the difference between the two is the amperage draw but it wouldn't be first time specs have changed if that is the case.

Hi Jameson, first off, I am not questioning your expertise, one would assume that if a manufacture is claiming that there is a higher efficiency between different models, than one would assume that the running and starting amp draw would be different, my beef is, why do they not make these figures available so that customers can make a wise decision, those figures could be negligible based on price, did GE happen to give you those amp draw figures, if so PLEASE let me have those, that's my whole point. as of this date GE never got back to me, they were supposed to email me info yesterday. Thank You for your reply.

@Gerry We had been given those figures which is where we came up with them for our product descriptions. With that said, it wouldn't be the first time someone on a Friday did keep on their work promises so why don't we give GE a couple days to email you back and if that doesn't work cc me and send it again as a "reminder" and I'll see if that helps. I can also forward the convo to our product managers who work with them to see if that motivates them at all.
