Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this GE Appliances 15,000 BTU White Low Profile ductless RV air conditioner with heat pump system. Now this low profile RV air conditioner is designed to give you an additional three inches of clearance in roof height. And at 15,000 BTU, this is going to give you 10 to 12% more cooling power than a 13,500 BTU unit, which is gonna be helpful in your larger RVs. Think about 30 feet or more. And especially if you have slide outs, or especially if you're consistently in those hot, humid climates where that extra capacity is going to be great at keeping your RV or camper more comfortable.
Now this does use the more energy efficient R32 refrigerant that's going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations. So because of that, this is not going to be backwards, compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier. This will be a bolt-on installation, hardware is included with this, to help you get this installed and mounted into place. Giving you some measurements here. Looking at the overall length, we're sitting at 40 inches.
The overall width, 30 inches. And like I said, this is a Low Profile unit, so this is only gonna be about 11 inches tall. And the unit itself weighs in the mid-80-pound range, 85, 86 pounds or so. So this is going to run pretty quietly for you. The motor has sound dampening grommets that's gonna help reduce that annoying humming.
And then this is going to be a pretty easy swap in most of your RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's pre-existing roofing opening. This is also built tough for the road. This has high-grade materials that it's built with, so it's going to do a great job of withstanding such things as extreme UV rays and that constant vibration. This does feature this white, hard, automotive-grade polymer shroud.
So this is going to protect the internal components from water and debris. And it's gonna be able to be easily removed for whatever reason you need to do, any maintenance, like cleaning it out or something like that. You'll just remove the screws, remove the shroud, then when you're done, replace the shroud and the screws, tighten them down, and you will be good to go. Now as I mentioned, this does feature a built-in heat pump, which is going to keep your coach warm on those chilly mornings. It's going to efficiently use the heat in the air to warm your coach on those days as cold as 25 degrees Fahrenheit. And at 35 degrees Fahrenheit, this is going to extend your propane supply from about 19 to 38% by reducing the need for you to run your furnace. But then when conditions do get too cold for your heat pump to work efficiently, this is going to automatically switch over to your furnace. And this does feature an auto-defrost cycle to help prevent ice buildup on the heat exchanger. Now let's take a closer look at this side of my table. I wanna briefly go over the components that's included with this kit. So we do get this air distribution box for your ductless system inside of your RV or camper. This is also built to handle those road vibrations in everyday RV life. You're gonna get this single zone thermostat. And if you notice, it features these easy to use buttons. And you're gonna have a large display, it's gonna be backlit. And this is going to be an easy install with the included screws that it comes with. And then you're also going to get this fireproof control box. This is basically the brain of the operation. This is gonna manage how the AC unit operates. So let me give you some measurements. Going back to our air distribution box, looking at the width and the length, we're sitting right at 21 inches square, if you want to call it that. Then when you have this up in your ceiling, this is going to stick down about two and a half inches or so. Our thermostat, looking at the width and the height, again, it's gonna be three and a half inches square and about an inch thick. And then looking at our control box, seven and a half inches long, six and seven-eights inches wide, and about two and three-eights inches thick. So again, you got your bolts to get your AC into place and everything else that you need. And this is pretty much gonna be a simple install. Probably the biggest challenge for you is gonna be able to get this AC unit up on the roof of your camper. Now again, this is all coming from a name that you know in trust, GE Appliances. So the same reliability and trust that you have in the GE Appliances inside your home, that's gonna carry over to this AC system. But if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out to us, 'cause we do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
