Question:
Would these be for 8k axle?

Good question, Nick!
The Dexter Replacement Dexter Bolt-On Shock Kit # K71-697-00 is designed to fit a 2-3/8" or 3" diameter axle. An 8,000 pound axle will measure 3-1/2", so I cannot recommend going this way. It will be underrated and won't really do what you want it to.
I know this is quite a bit more expensive, but the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers # RM-2470 is specifically designed for an 8,000 pound 3-1/2" axle and would be what I recommend (plus the # RM-2470-50 if you have 3 axles). We have sold quite a few of these and I can honestly say I have never heard a bad thing after the install was done.
Are you 100% on going the route of shocks? We may have another option if you are interested.
