Question:
Hi, Have a 2012 Mini Cooper Base hardtop. I need to flat tow. it with a c class motorhome. I have a e-trailer tow bar e74ZR for Roadmaster, from my old toad. I need to know what base plates will be the best. Removable arms preferred. Thanks, Bruce

Hey Bruce,
For your 2012 Mini Cooper I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1307 with removable arms. Since these base plates do not directly fit your # e74ZR tow bar you are going to need an adapter to make the 2 work together. The correct adapter for this to work is # e98978. This adapter is going to replace the ends of your current tow bar to accommodate the Blue Ox base plates.
Are you needing any other parts like wiring or braking system? Let me know and I can get together a list of those parts as well.

It sounds like something I would have done, but when I called they said the only options for a Mini was the Roadmaster base plate and additional cross bar assembly. The Blue Ox set up that you suggest is exactly what I wanted but was told that wasn’t an option. Oh well I guess…. Your reply came a day late, as I already ordered the Roadmaster set up.
