Question:
I have a 2010 Honda Pilot towing a 2022 Rpod-180 with a 1.25 inch hitch, which currently holds the rear tire. I recently bought a Cummings P4500 generator and am looking to carry it where the spare tire now resides. What are your suggestions? Your site was recommended to me to get a cargo carrier by the dealer from whom we bought the Rpod. Thank you.

Hello Dwain,
I am happy that you made it to our site! Yes, a cargo carrier is a great option for hauling your generator.
Since you have a 1 1/4" receiver on your 2022 R-Pod 180, and when I look up the specs for the Cummings P4500 it has a length of 24 1/2" and a width of almost 18 1/2", the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 is the best cargo carrier option we have for your 1 1/4" receiver. The great thing about the # C18110 is the the sleeve comes off the end so you can actually use the cargo carrier on a 2" receiver as well, might come in handy for your Honda Pilot sometime.
Another option worth mentioning is the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier for A-Frame Trailers - 300 lbs # CC-255. This would install on the front of the trailer, that way you can still use your spare tire carrier if you wish. I attached an image so you can see how it will look, and a video as well.
With either option you will need some straps to strap it down, if you don't have some on hand already, check out our Ratchet Tie Down Straps w/ Storage Bag - 12' Long x 1-1/4" Wide - 830 lbs - Qty 4 # ETBMB-05852.
Any big trips in the near future? If so, where are you headed?

Due to the weight issues on the rear hitch, I decided to go with the A-Frame. This will hold the generator only. Is there an A-Frame option that will hold a 5 gallon gas can also? Thanks
