Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Kit for 2025 Mazda CX-50 Also Fit Hybrid Models

Question:

@JamesonC - I also have the hybrid model. Can you confirm the tekonsha part TK85VR you referenced can be installed on the hybrid? I assume so but all the instructions seem to be for non-hybrid. Difference is that while there are leads for the battery in the hood, the battery is actually under the rear cargo area. I assume this just makes wiring easier and you can run the wiring to the battery in the cargo area, is that correct? Are there any other special considerations or instructions for installing that wiring in a cx-50 hybrid model? Thank you.

Hey Mike, yes the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness part # TK85VR that you referenced does fit the hybrid models of the 2025 Mazda CX-50 like you have. This does install to the battery in a different way like you mentioned since the battery is in a different location. That would be only difference.

I attached a picture of a review from a customer who installed it on a hybrid model and noted the different battery connection.
