Hey David! They're both manufactured by Dexter, as Tie Down was purchased by them in 2017, so they're identical except for the branding.

I recommend going with a Dexter DX7.5 Brake Actuator like item # 099-175-20 for disc brakes or item # 099-175-00 for drum brakes if you need a 2" coupler that mounts to a 3" wide channel tongue.

What kind of brakes does your trailer have and what size coupler do you need? We have quite a few options for Dexter DX7.5 Brake Actuators so if you could tell me what kind of coupler set up you have now I could give you a more specific recommendation.

Hey David, did you have a chance to figure out what kind of brakes your trailer has and the size of the coupler you need? I'm asking because knowing your setup could help me provide a more specific recommendation for others in a similar situation.
